An Empress with a Dream
Anastasia Barksdale had a dream of owning her own cosmetics line well before she knew what the name of it would be. In 2015, she met a gentleman and each time they crossed paths, he called her an Empress. This term of endearment, Empress, resonated with her and that's when it struck her – Empress would be the name of her cosmetics brand.

She felt that this term of royalty was befitting of who she is, what she represents, and how she wants everyone to feel when they use our products.

Since launching Empress Lipsticks & Fashion (ELAF) in 2016, we have expanded ELAF to having a fashion line including unisex beanies, bucket hats, lip care and more – catering to men and women alike!
